Evan Erickson is a 2007 OF/P with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Rialto CA, who attends Carter. Erickson has a lean body with a nice athletic build. Erickson runs pretty well and it transfers over to the way he moves so well in the outfield. He as good defensive actions and has a real good idea how to play defensively. He has good arm speed and solid arm strength and had consistent online throws. At the plate, Erickson starts with a slightly closed stance and swings from a crouch. He looks to keep his hands inside the baseball and has a short line drive swing path. His bat speed is solid and he had a solid line drive single in the games. Erickson looks to be a table setter at the next level with his approach at the plate. He also pitches and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He has a balanced online delivery and throws with little effort. He has a high leg kick and throws a curveball with depth. Erickson is a good student.
