Brian Albano is a 2007 1B/OF with a 6'2'', 210 lb. frame from Ridgewood NJ, who attends Ridgewood HS. He is a very strong looking young athlete, especially in his lower half. Albano had good speed for his size, running a 7.14 60. He had smooth actions around the bag at first and nice footwork, which left him in good position to field the ball. At the plate, Albano is predictably a power hitter. He has a short stride and early hip rotation and pulls the bat around hard. Albano hit some balls in BP that went big league high when he just got under them. He's looking to pull the ball and hit it far and has the ability to do that. Albano is a good all around athlete and that will help him develop as a hitter in the future. He's a good follow.
