Jason Knapp is a 2008 RHP with a 6'5'', 235 lb. frame from Annandale, NJ who attends North Hunterdon HS. He has an extra large frame with a soft mid section and a strong lower half. Knapp throws from a tall delivery with a long, power arm action that is loose and extended out front. He has a deep wrap in back and his long arm action gives him inconsistent release points, especially on his breaking ball. Velocity comes easily for Knapp and he threw 90-92 consistently, topped at 93 and has more in his arm and body. He pitched mostly with his fastball as he struggled finding his feel for his change up and curveball. The tools are all there for Knapp to be a big-time power pitcher, with a Brad Penny type body and arm action, but he had low energy actions on the mound and needs to get his body in shape. He has a verbal commitment to North Carolina.

Jason Knapp is a 2008 RHP from North Hunterdon HS, residing in Annandale, New Jersey, with a 6'5"/235 pound frame. Knapp has a big XL frame with a thick strong build. Knapp pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. His arm works well and he has a live arm. Knapp uses a high leg kick at balance point and has an online delivery through finish. His fastball has good arm side run with life at 90 mph. He looks to keep the ball down in the zone and looks to get ahead of hitters with his fastball. Knapp throws a 10/4 slider with tight rotation and hard break. He pitches with some effort and is a very strong physical kid. He has the tools to develop into a high level prospect. Knapp is a national level 2008 prospect and is a good student. Signed with North Carolina.
