Kenan Prentice is a 2009 RHP/1B with a 6'1'', 177 lb. frame from Collierville, TN who attends Collierville HS. He has a medium build with some present strength. Prentice has a multi-piece delivery with lots of energy and effort. His arm action and long and extended. Prentice's fastball topped out at 78 mph with good arm side running action. His best pitch was a 68 mph curveball that had some sharpness to it and a 2-plane 11/5 type of break. Prentice mixed up his two pitches well and had an idea what he was doing. We didn't see a change up. Prentice has some mechanical adjustments to make to smooth out his delivery and stay behind the ball better and that should improve his raw stiff. He is a very good student.

Kenan Prentice is a 2009 RHP/1B/3B from Collierville HS, residing in Collierville, Tennessee, with a lean 6'0"/175 pound frame. Kenan pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and has a deceptive delivery. His fastball has solid arm side run at 77 mph with a tight breaking curveball at 67 mph. Prentice has a changeup with run at 71 mph and mixes pitches well. He hits from a solid base with a small stride. Kenan has a short swing at the plate with quick hands. He has solid bat speed with solid power potential as a hitter. Prentice is an excellent student.
