Chas Crane is a 2008 C/P/UT/IF with a 6'0'', 194 lb. frame from Bridgewater NJ, who attends Immaculata HS. Chas has a strong athletic build and showed off some nice hitting tools from the right side of the plate. At the plate he is short to the ball with quick hands and good bat speed. He has good present strength in his swing and makes solid line-drive contact. From the left side Chas has a smooth quiet approach and is able to hit the ball where it is pitched. Behind the plate Chas showed good all-around athletic ability with solid footwork and arm strength. He needs to clean up his release a little bit, which will really make his pop times go down. Chas showed good potential on the mound with a loose easy arm action and a low effort delivery. Chas is a player that should attract attention from many mid-level college programs.
