Joshua Santos is a 2007 C/OF from Miramar, Florida with a 5'10" 173 lb. frame. Josh has a very athletic build and moves extremely well for a catcher. At the plate Joshua showed a short level swing that produced consistent hard contact. Behind the plate Josh showed off a quick release, with good arm strength on his throws. He consistently recorded pop times under 2.00 seconds, and could see this number even lower by the time he graduates. Joshua Santos has the athletic ability that is rare in catchers, and is already advanced defensively behind the plate. With continued work and development on all parts of his game he should be ready to play at the next level.
