Carlos Blanco is a 2008 C/1B with a 5'9'', 175 lb. frame from Miami FL, who attends Coral Reef. Carlos has a thick body with a strong lower half. He has a nice catcher's build. Carlos has arm strength and throws with a short arm action. He has a high set up behind the plate and could lower his center of gravity to give himself better balance. At the plate, Carlos starts with a crouched stance with a high back elbow. He uses a knee lift trigger to start his swing and makes solid consistent contact. Carlos has an inside out swing and looks to hit the ball to the opposite field on a regular basis. Carlos has a short swing and probably hits for a high average presently. Carlos is a solid young player.
