He has a very projectable body with room to add size. He has very good speed with instincts on the bases and takes an aggressive approach to baserunning. Offensively he has bat speed from a roational hitting style and stays short to the ball. He has raw pop in his bat and showed power from gap to gap. He is a projectable young athlete with a good frame. Seger showed why he is one of the best 2009 prospects in the country. Defensively he has raw arm strength (86 mph) from the outfield with solid carry. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a smooth swing. Seger has a nice rhythm with an advanced approach. He has plus bat speed through the hitting zone and he gets good extension out front. He stays inside the ball well for a power hitter showing the ability to hit for both average and power. Seger is aggressive with pitches in the zone, and he has the ability to hit to all fields. Seger is a middle of the order run producer for the next level with good raw power. He has great upside to his overall game.

Seger has good speed for his size and age, and shows his athleticism on the bases and in the outfield. Defensively he has good arm strength from the outfield with a smooth release. He moves well to the ball, and reads the ball well off the bat. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a balanced swing. He hits under control with little wasted movement. Seger has good bat speed through the hitting zone, and makes adjustments well for a young hitter. There is strength in his swing and he gets good leverage at the point of contact that gives him big time power potential for the future.
