Jarrod Brown is a 2009 2B/SS with a 5'9'', 140 lb. frame from Port Orange FL, who attends Atlantic. Brown has a thin body with a lean build. Defensively, Brown uses a short arm action and has developing arm strength. He is light on his feet and takes good angles to the baseball. His hands work well and they have some softness to them. At the plate, Brown starts with a wide stance and high hands. He maintains good balance through his swing and has a good approach in the box. He swings through ball well and makes consistent solid contact to all fields. Brown uses his hands well in his swing and generates bat speed. He swings on a line drive plane and takes a short path the the baseball. Brown has good hand eye coordination and centers the baseball well. He is a very good young follow who could develop into a very good player down the road. Brown is a very good student.
