Marc Asta is a 2008 MIF/C that attends Jackson Memorial HS and resides in Jackson, NJ with a 5'9", 145 lb. frame. Marc has a small build and room to fill out. At the plate Marc shows good bat speed and consistent line-drive contact. He has somewhat of an abbreviated finish and could use more extension though impact at the plate. Defensively Marc projects best at second base as his arm strength is somewhat limited right now. He did show a nice backhand and smooth actions in the field. Marc is a player that could attract attention from some smaller colleges.

Marc Asta is a 2008 MIF/C with a 5'9'', 145 lb. frame from Jackson NJ, who attends Jackson Memorial HS. He has a young, small framed body that would benefit from getting stronger. Asta hits from a spread stance with a leg lift trigger and a long, arm swing with extension through the ball. He attacks the ball aggressively and shows some gap to gap power to the middle of the field. Asta's swing is more the type you'd expect to see on a bigger player but he generates some bat speed and has some hitting ability. Defensively, Asta shows good fundamentals and a deliberate, balanced approach to the ball. His arm strength and quickness profiles best at second base. Asta is also a very good student.
