Jared Spector is a 2007 OF/2B with a 5'11'', 185 lb. frame from Coral Springs FL, who attends North Broward Prep. He has a medium athletic frame with athletic tone. Spector ran the 60 in 7.77 and threw 70 mph from the outfield. He could improve his outfield arm strength with better throwing technique and fundamentals. Spector hits from a tall, narrow stance with a good coiling load to get his bat going. Spector has some hand strength and quickness in his bat. He tends to pull his hands in close to his body during his swing, which limits his ability to drive the ball and causes his bat head to drag in the zone. Spector made some solid contact to the opposite side and can improve his hitting ability with better extension through the ball. Spector is an excellent student.
