Chad is a 2004 grad from Southern California and has a large frame and strong but lean lively build at present with room for added muscle in future. Has no trouble getting in and out of crouch, even with his long legs he seems to be able to be flexible and agile to stay behind the plate and handle any quality pitching staff. Sure hands and shows an ability to get to his knees well to block balls. His pop times to 2B were 1.90 to 2.10, when he able to keep arm up and get on top of ball, he showed his best times. He shows a wide base with a good weight transfer to his approach. Centers ball well and has raw power now and body will produce more in future. Gives to everything he has and not afraid to more than you ask from him. Tough competitor. May need to go to JC now and with added strength and more baseball should be able to play at the next level.
