Andrew Reyes is a 2007 MIF/P with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from Surrey BC, who attends Holy Cross HS. He has a short frame with some developing strength. Reyes ran the 60 in 7.14 and threw 81 mph during infield drills. He shows sound actions in the middle infield and does a good job circling the ball and showing range, especially to the middle of the field. His actions and arm strength are best suited to second base at the next level. Offensively, Reyes hits out of a crouched, no load stance and keeps his swing short and quick. He's a line drive/contact type of hitter who is going to spray the ball around the field. Reyes also took a turn on the mound and threw up to 83 mph with good running action. He has a short, compact arm action and a high 3/4's release point. His curveball is on the slow side with a rolling 11/5 type of break. Reyes has a good balance of baseball skills and looks like he likes to play. He is also a good student.
