Bryn Henderson is a 2005 RHP/C/IF from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, with a 6'0", 185 lb. frame. We consider Henderson more of a position prospect, but this was probably the best we’ve seen him throw from the mound. He looks like he is in excellent shape and has really toned up his hips and lower half in particular. Henderson has good balance in his delivery and generates leverage over his front side to take advantage of his natural strength. He shows his athleticism in his ability to repeat his delivery and throw strikes with all his pitches. Henderson’s fastball was steady at 84-86 mph and was as high as 88 mph. He threw a slider in the 74-76 mph range that was very sharp at times and is going to get plenty of hitters out at the college level. His 73-76 mph change up is also a quality pitch that he could throw more often. Offensively he showed very good bat speed with quiet hands and attacks the ball. He cocks his hands slightly, but is short and quick to the ball. He stayed on breaking balls well, and showed the ability to hit the ball the other way. Henderson has strength in his swing with very good projectable power. Henderson is a very good student also, but has not signed with a college yet, and we know there are any number of good Division I programs that he could contribute to right away. He just keeps getting better and better. His dad played at Arizona State. There has been some interest in converting Bryn to a catcher. His tools play large at that position.

Bryn Henderson is a 2005 shortstop/pitcher from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, with a strong 6'0", 180 lb. frame. Henderson has soft hands and good footwork to go along with his solid arm defensively. At the plate, Henderson hits from an upright stance and shows big power potential with a quick bat. He hit many deep shots in batting practice to all parts of the field. He makes consistently hard contact during the games as well. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm and good balance. He has a fastball that he works in the 83-85 mph range with some arm side fade. Henderson throws a curveball at 69 mph, and a slider at 74-75 mph. Henderson slows his arm slightly on the curveball, but has pretty good control of the pitch. Henderson has two way potential at the DI level and continues to improve as he gets older. Bryn is a very strong student.

Bryn Henderson -- Henderson is junior right handed pitcher/third baseman from Iowa who we’ve seen many, many times in the past. He comes from a strong baseball family with a dad who was a high level college player and is now a high school coach, and it shows in his approach and skills. Henderson threw 4 innings at the showcase and was 80-83 mph on his fastball, usually low in the zone. His best pitch is a 70-73 mph slider that he can throw for strikes at any time in the count and gets occasional good depth to it. Henderson also throws a change up that will have some good action at times. Henderson has pitched very successfully at national tournaments in the past and his ability to throw 3 solid pitches for strikes will enable him to keep doing that. Henderson also uses his upper body strength to swing the bat very well. He takes a strong, level cut and generates very good bat speed. Henderson is going to have to quicken up his lower half to play third base at the college level but his bat will play large. Big power potential here. Bryn is a very strong student.

Henderson is an "05" 3B/RHP from Iowa. At 5'11/200 he is solid, but could stand to tone up a little. He has good baseball bloodlines. He showed hitting ability with bat speed and power potential in CR. He attacks under control, though he does over stride some. He has nice hands and a strong throwing arm. We really like him a lot on the hill. He threw easy 86 mph with a 81 mph slider and a good 73 mph curveball. He has good mechanics and uses his body and arm well. Time will tell if he's going to pitch or hit at the next level. Maybe he will do both. Bryn is an excellent student too.
