Leland Greenley is a 2008 OF from Highland HS in Highland, IN, with a 5'11'', 195 lb. frame. He has a thick and strong lower half and very good overall strength for his size. Greenley ran the 60 in a good 7.28 and showed solid arm strength for a sophomore at 79 mph. At the plate, Greenley hits from a calm approach with a hand hitch trigger to get the bat going. He takes a very aggressive lofted swing at the ball with good lower half balance. Greenley has very good bat speed and the ball came off his bat hard. One thing that Greenley did that showed his power and hitting ability was get stronger late in the BP round, where most young hitters are getting a bit arm weary. Greenley has a good idea of how to hit the ball and the strength to carry it through. He could develop into an impact run producer in the middle of the order with more development. Good follow.
