Nick Sallings is a 2008 RHP/3B with a 5'10'', 175 lb. frame from Kemp TX, who attends Kemp. Nick has an athletic build with good body strength. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. Nick throws slightly across his body with good mechanics. He gets good sink on his fastball while also throwing a breaking ball. We didn't see a change-up and would like to see him develop one to compliment his other two solid pitches. Nick starts with straight stance and has quiet feet with balance in the box. He has a quiet approach and looks to hit the ball to all fields. Nick has a quick hands and bat speed. He centers the ball up on a consistent basis and has good hand strength in his swing. Nick has a high ceiling on the mound and was named to the Top Prospect Game.
