Tyson Heaton is a 2019 RHP/3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Yucaipa, CA who attends Yucaipa HS. Big and thick young build. Over the top arm slot, arm works well from up there, gets gathered over the rubber well from a rock back delivery, repeats his mechanics well. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight with good downhill angle and keeps in low in the zone consistently. Tends to slow his arm on both his curveball and change up, lands his curveball well for strikes. Had two quick innings working ahead in counts and getting early count contact. Strike thrower who will improve as he develops his secondary pitches. Good student, verbal commitment to Brigham Young.
