Pennacchio is a 5-9, 165 lb second baseman from Florida with some present strength. He ran the 60 in 7.95 and threw 64 mph during infield drills. Pennacchio has quick hands defensively and his feet work fine but he has a stiff side arm throwing action that he’ll have to work on improving for the next level. Pennacchio showed some ability with the bat during BP and games. He has a short swing with good balance through contact and has good hand strength and a flat swing plane that produces consistent line drives. He should continue to improve at the plate as he matures physically.
