Jon Broz is a 2007 C/OF with a 5'10'', 200 lb. frame from Vermilion OH, who attends Vermilion. Broz has a thick body with a strong stocky build. Defensively, Broz moves well behind the plate and showed good blocking skills. He is a good receiver with soft hands. He has quick transfers on his throws down to 2nd base and has a quick release. Broz makes consistent online throws on the bag. At the plate, Broz starts with a wide base and has a deep load to start his swing. He takes a high stride and hits off his front foot. He has present line drive power and will hit for more pop as he learns to swing with more balance. He casts the bat through the zone and has bat speed. Broz pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and uses a short arm action. Broz is a very good student.
