Bailey Robarge is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Southington, CT who attends Southington High School. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with long limbs and present strength throughout lower half. Ran a 7.98 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, does a nice job of getting tall on backside, lands slightly closed with a short stride down the mound. Short arm action through the backside, works to a three-quarters arm slot and consistently works on top of fastball. Creates angle and short running life to fastball, topped out at 77 mph, consistently works glove side and did a nice job of holding velocity out of the stretch. Ball comes out of hand clean, consistently throws fastball for strikes and projects with additional lower half implemented into drive. Flashed tight rotation to slider at 72 mph and has a feel for changeup with short fading life at 71 mph. Fields the ball out front at first base, quick transfer out of glove and quick footwork off the back, similar short and compact arm action through the back, gets on top of throws well and shows accuracy across. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high back elbow in the box and uses a leg lift trigger for timing at start of swing. Short and inside swing, contact approach and stays direct to the ball, barrel consistency will develop with improved timing in swing. Good student.
