Ethan Rivera is a 2018 SS/RHP/UT with a 5-11 159 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Smithson Valley HS. Young athletic middle infielder's body, has some wiry strength with more to come. 7.01 runner, has good balance and agility in the infield, loose and fast arm and can throw from multiple arm slots, also shows big arm strength and carry from the outfield. Right handed hitter, busy pre-swing set up with a big leg lift, will have to simplify approach to time higher level pitching, swings hard with an aggressive power approach and can impact the ball hard. Also pitched, high 3/4's arm action with medium effort, cross body on release. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, threw both a curveball and a slider that flashed good spin and bite. Versatile athlete who should continue to improve with adjustments.
