Grant Stuart is a 2018 RHP with a 6-1 183 lb. frame from Los Alamitos, CA who attends Los Alamitos HS. Stuart has a long lean athletic build. Has strong lower half and broad shoulders. Short compact delivery from a short rocker step and high leg kick. has slight pause at the balance point. A little across body on stride with front food landing slightly closed but still has room to clear his hips and get through the release point, was more online out of the stretch. Release point is 3/4 and extended from body. Moves ball in and out well and ball middle in has good arm side run. challenged hitters early in count and showed ability to pitch in on hands. Mixed in curveball and slider along with a change up. Change up was second best pitch and showed good fading action, maintained arm speed on change up. Slider and curveball had similar action, slide was a bit harder and sharper and curveball showed more sweeping action. Good Student.
