Rylan Forester is a 2017 C with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Sudbury, MA who attends Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. Medium frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.84 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, gains short ground coming out of the crouch, gets upright and stays tall moving into release point, short and compact arm action through the back, tight release with extra movement upon release, gets on top of throws and showcase accuracy, arm strength will continue to develop with additional lower half. Righthanded hitter, begins with a square stance, loads hands back at the beginning of swing. Weight starts on backside, shows balance to swing and uses a toe glide trigger. Short swing plane to the ball with an uphill swing path at times, creates line drive contact when on time and works the middle of the field with comfort, shows ability to turn on balls on inner half. Good student.
