Aaron (AJ) Winger is a 2018 OF/RHP/2B with a 6-1 140 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Clear Brook HS. Tall and lanky young build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, open stance, rotational upper body swing following a big pull back load, pull hitter who hits around the ball, handled the barrel well and made consistent contact. 7.42 runner, two handed fielder in the outfield, compact arm action, makes accurate throws. Also pitched, side arm thrower with a long sweeping arm action, limited lower half use and stride to the plate. Steady mid-70's fastball with very good sinking life, threw his fastball to both sides of the plate and commanded it well, sweeping breaking ball for strikes as well, can improve velocity with more lower half use. May have a higher ceiling on the mound with adjustments and more strength. Good student.
