Daniel Thigpen is a 2018 2B/SS, OF, UT with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Burlington, NC who attends Walter M Williams High School. Younger player with a lean, slender frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically. Posted a 7.18 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, showed a quick first step, comes through the ball, younger actions, and developing arm strength. At the plate, started with an even stance, high hand set, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Deeper hand load start with intent to drive the ball. Linear swing plane with a short, compact swing to the ball. Will continue to improve with additional strength and lower half incorporation. Good student.
