Tyler Benson is a 2009 OF/P with a 6'1'', 200 lb. frame from Glen Allen, VA who attends Deep Run HS. Strong build with some maturity. Good bat speed, leans back to swing, solid mid field contact, best swings when pulling, has hitting tools with better balance/direction. Some arm strength defensively. Also pitches, 78 mph with a big breaking 69 mph CB. Very good student.
