Brian Skonicki is a 2009 RHP/OF with a 6'5'', 160 lb. frame from Lithia, FL who attends Newsome HS. Tall, slender build. Long arm action, whippy arm speed coming through, falls off to 1B at times, some effort at release, good deception. FB 80-84 mph, good tailing action, hard sink on change up, loose spin on CB. Good mound presence, has an idea. Good student.

Brian Skonicki is a 2009 RHP with a 6'4'', 150 lb. frame from Lithia FL, who attends Newsome HS. He has a tall, very thin build and enough frame to add some strength. Skonicki has a nice on line delivery with a loose arm action with nice extension out front. He has a stiff front leg on landing, which causes him to fall off to the first base side occasionally. Skonicki threw his fastball 78-80 with a high of 82 mph. His curveball and change up were both solid pitches for his age, with his curveball showing nice spin and a 11/5 break and his change up having nice sinking action with good arm speed. Skonicki showed he had a good idea how to pitch and knew what he was doing. He's a good bet to keep gaining velocity and improving as he gets stronger. Follow closely. Skonicki is also a good student.
