Andrew Dean is a 2018 C/SS with a 6-0 163 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Everglades HS. Medium build, athletic frame, and strong attributes that moves well on the field. Has high baseball IQ and is situationally aware. Behind the plate has a high set up, long stride gains ground to second base, short arm action and threw accurately. At the plate he has a tall stance and tips the barrel for rhythm. Simple mechanics in the swing; gather to rear leg, coils front side, tips barrel and stride separates to launch position, with a quick lower half. Shows power potential to the pull side, also sprayed balls the other way, and has good feel for contact. Great student.
