Samson Lennarson is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Arvada, CO who attends Ralston Valley HS. Smaller athletic build. High 3/4's to over the top arm action, leans off his upper body to get his arm through, very compact arm action and completely hides the ball from the hitter, has huge deception in his pitching mechanics. Steady upper 70's fastball, gets good arm side run at times. Change up is an excellent pitch, same mechanics and hitters can't see the velocity difference until it is too late. Slurve type breaking ball that flashes good spin. Has a feel for pitching, will be a very successful high school pitcher if he can command his fastball more consistently. Left handed hitter, swings hard from an open stance, has a feel for the barrel, has hand quickness and can get around on the inside pitch. Solid athleticism in the outfielder. Good athlete who plays with a high motor and lots of energy on the baseball field, likely to max out his physical tools. Good student.
