2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Haiden Hunt is a 2019 OF/2B with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Fredrick A. Douglass High School. Lean, athletic build with square shoulders and plenty of projectability moving forward; full of fast-twitch muscle and runs very well, posted a 6.56 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows smooth actions moving towards the ball and reads it well off the bat, works behind the ball and gets into a good position, extra steps moving into release, tight release overall with some carry on throws and on line accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, does a nice job of getting closed with front foot. Stays short to the ball and uses a contact oriented approach, gets the barrel through the zone with a linear swing plane. Stays inside with hands, able to work all fields and shows barrel skills with line drive contact when on time. Named to Fall National Showcase Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
