Caleb Sims is a 2006 shortstop/pitcher from Burlington, MA, with a solid 5'11", 195 pound frame with room to get even stronger. Offensively, he hits from a good balanced stance, with a short stride. Sims has quick hands, with a controlled, aggressive swing, and good pull side power. He also showed good actions in the infield with solid arm strength throwing 78 mph across the diamond. On the mound, he topped out at 82 mph while throwing from a ¾ arm slot. His fastball showed good late movement at times, and is deceptive as he hides the ball well. Sims showed good control of his 81 mph cut fastball, and also mixed in a 70 mph curveball. Caleb is a strong student.
