Hayden Barber is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Sunnyvale, TX who attends Sunnyvale High School. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout, still has additional room to fill too. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows nice pace and tempo to delivery throughout, short spine tilt at top of delivery before driving over front side, lands in a sound fielding position. Medium length arm action through the back, works to a low three-quarters arm slot, gets on top of ball well and worked down in the zone with short sinking life. Topped out at 83 mph, projects with additional lower half incorporated into stride, can get to either side of the plate and induce weak ground ball contact. Maintains slot well on slider, short break out of hand at 72 mph, slows arm action some at release. Occasional fade to changeup down at 72 mph. Very good student.
