Drew Parker is a 2008 C with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Hiram GA, who attends McEachern HS. He has a long legged projectable catcher's build. Parker was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. Parker is a solid defensive catcher with quick feet and mature receiving ability. He threw 71 mph during drills with a best pop time of 2.01. His release is a bit long right now but his throws are consistent and accurate. Offensively, Parker hits from a spread stance square to the pitcher. He has a upper body rotational swing swing that doesn't incorporate much lower body. Parker has some bat speed and made solid middle of the field line drive contact. He has some lift at the end of his swing and may develop some gap to gap power as he gets stronger.

Drew Parker is a catcher with solid 2.09 pop times and 73c arm velocity. He ha s agood frame and strong lower half. He has good balance in his throwing motion and does fire out from behind the plate. Transfer speed should continue to improve and he could quiet his head movement some at the end of his release. A RH hitter with a very good swing. Pull power with good balance and strong hands. Line drive swing plane with ability to square the ball to all parts of the field. Had a nice drive of the LF wall in the game. Named to Top Prospect game.
