Luke Hansen is a 2018 LHP/ with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Southold, NY who attends Southold High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, square shoulders, and lots of room to continue to develop physically and add strength. Primary right handed pitcher, started with a leg lift to belt, online delivery, tall through backside, pauses at top of leg raise, and threw from a lower three quarter arm slot. Athletic delivery and creates best angle to the plate when working glove side against left handed hitters. Fastball showed short arm side life and sink to the lower third at 79-83 mph with slight sling to the pitch and attacking hitters. Held velocity well and would see a tick up with additional lower half in delivery. Showed feel for a changeup from the same slot and similar arm speed with fade at 74 mph. 1/7 shape to curveball with developing spin and depth with a sharper slider with short break at 75 mph.
