Carlos Lorenzo Velazquez is a 2017 C with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Gurabo, PR. Medium athletic frame with broad sloping shoulders. Has present strength in frame. Hits from a square stance, stays inside baseball well hands and drives to opposite field. Full swing with good extension through ball. Has feel for barrel and repeats swing well. Stays balanced through out. More power will develop if he uses back side more to drive baseball. Defensively, feet work well and gains ground with lower half. Hands work well behind plate. Has tools to develop. Good Student.
