David Robinson is a 2018 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Leawood, KS who attends Bishop Miege HS. Medium athletic build, has some lower half strength, plenty of room to get stronger. Runs well, 6.98 in the sixty, has quickness in the infield and works through the ball well, stays balanced charging the ball, has some developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, straight stance, hands are separate and tight on the bat, has a good shift into contact and swings hard, pull approach, generates some bat speed when he turns the barrel, line drive contact. Also pitched, compact arm action from a high 3/4's arm slot, lands open on his front side, arm works well coming through. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with occasional arm side running action. Tends to slow his arm on his curveball, gets a big early break to it. Good student.
