Pete Miller is a 2018 2B/IF/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Chelmsford, MA who attends Chelmsford HS. Medium-large frame with sturdy, stocky build, has present strength in body. Primary infielder, controlled, measured steps in working to the ball. Solid body control, showed well when charging the ball. Quick transfer and compact arm-action with accurate throws across the diamond. Left handed hitter, high back elbow start with wide base. Hands tight to body, likes to keep them inside and work to the opposite field. Shows feel for handling the barrel and shooting balls the other way, contact-oriented approach with ability to repeat mechanics well, could incorporate a bit more lower-half to tap into strength. Also pitches, simple, efficient delivery, can land slightly closed at foot strike. Fastball up to 73 mph, shows ability to locate the pitch to the glove side. Comfort and confidence in curveball with good shape and depth. Flashes a rare changeup, knows how to mix pitches and competes well. Good student.
