Garrett Grozak is a 2008 2B/3B with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Redlands, CA who attends Redlands HS. He has a lean, tall frame, especially for a second baseman. Grozak is a good infielder with a quick release on his throws that makes up for a below average arm. He fields the ball cleanly with sound footwork. Grozak is a 7.58 runner in the 60. He hits from a slightly open stance with some flex in his knees and some crouch. Grozak's swing is short and level and most of his contact is to the pull side. His timing was good against the higher velocity pitching and he was able to get his hands through and make contact. Grozack's swing is mostly upper body rotational and he would benefit from more lower half to his swing. Grozak is a good competitor on both sides of the ball. He is also an excellent student.
