Dean Streich is a 2016 RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from North Kingstown, RI who attends North Kingstown Senior HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher, loose arm action through the backside coming to an extended three-quarter arm slot. Moving parts to delivery but repeats well causing deception, hides the ball well with good direction to the plate. Incorporates lower half well, fastball gets on hitters quick, up to 83 mph with late running life to arm side when located down in zone. Slider complements fastball well, tight rotation at 78 mph with late break and 10-4 shape. Rounds out arsenal with changeup at 72 mph, sound fading life to arm side, similar look to fastball out of hand. Good student.
