Brian Garcia is a 2017 2B/3B/SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Miami Lakes, FL who attends Immaculata-La Salle HS. Medium, athletic build with present strength to frame, strong lower half and incorporates it well into actions. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows smooth actions moving to and through the ball, moves well laterally, fields out front and quick transfer into a short arm action, arm strength will continue to develop, accurate throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and open stance, high hand set and back elbow in the box. Shifts weight onto backside, shows nice quickness to hands an a linear stroke through the zone. Shows fluidity through the zone and can work all fields, shows some carry gap-to-gap and handles the barrel well. Very good student.
