Kyle Coolidge is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Plymouth, MA who attends Sturgis Charter Public HS. Large, athletic build with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, full arm action through the backside into a high three-quarter release point. Smooth and balanced delivery, stays tall on backside and is able to generate downhill plane, throws across body some at release but creates deception. Attacks hitters with a full arsenal, fastball topped at 77 mph with angle and the ability to work either side of plate. Showed both a curveball and slider, similar 2-8 shape, curveball features more depth. Changeup is solid offering at 70 mph with late fading action and depth. Similar arm action from the outfield, loose and tension free, gets on top of throws well with accuracy. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and high hand set. Small leg lift trigger, uphill plane to ball and gets the barrel through the zone nicely. Shows contact skills with a ability to hit to all fields while staying short to the ball. Good student.
