Max Miller is a 2017 3B/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Yorba Linda, CA who attends Yorba Linda HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, short steps to the ball and showed well moving to left, picks back hands, has a short arm action through the backside working to a lower slot, shows strength and carry across the diamond. Also pitched, short and compact delivery, stays tall on back leg with short stride down mound. Works from a high three-quarter arm slot, gets on top and generates good downhill plane in the zone, topped at 80 mph, good tempo and pitches off fastball. Flashed a curveball with short depth. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Small leg lift trigger for timing, shows a feel for the barrel through the zone with a short bat path to it. Keeps hands in and shows rhythm, creates line drive contact to all fields when extended. Good student.
