Daniel Molnar is a 6' 190 pound 2006 third baseman from Long Grove, Illinois who attends Stevenson High School. He has a solid athletic build and a thick middle. Daniel has a short compact swing and is a line drive spray hitter. His swing is smooth and he has good balance throughout. He stays inside the ball very well and uses a deep load with good patience. He makes consistently solid contact when he dives into the plate. In the field, Daniel has good hands and quick feet. His glove is very solid and he has a bounce in his step. Daniel's arm works very cleanly and easy with his quick release. He has decent arm strength which he showed by throwing 77 mph across the infield during the workout where he also ran a 7.15 60. Daniel is a top level prospect with a good upside who is also a very good student.
