Mitchell Abrams is a 2017 OF/C, 3B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Sachse, TX who attends Wylie High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and nice present strength proportioned throughout build. Primary outfielder, moves to the ball with short steps, comes through the ball well with lower half with an aggressive approach, quick and loose arm with a fuller arm stroke through the back, occasionally gets under ball at release, shows carry when on top with arm strength. Quick transfer on throws across the infield, tight arm action with an over the top slot, shows accuracy to first base, fields the ball out front, tools to play nicely at third base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Uses a small leg lift trigger for timing, direct to the ball with a full swing path through the point of contact with a short finish. Shows quickness to hands and uses physical strength well, upper body swing, shows jump coming off the barrel and loose to lift, shows nice power potential when on time with trigger.
