Chase Broeker is a 2018 C/3B/1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Leavenworth, KS who attends Leavenworth HS. Large frame with a solid build and present strength. Ran a 7.89 sixty yard dash. Primary catcher, receives baseball with two hands and works through transfer with clean actions. Gains some ground while working out of crouch to a slightly taller throwing position. Generated some carry to the bag from a compact arm action topping at 75 mph, best workout pop time of 1.95. Also worked out defensively from the infield and first base. From the infield shows compact footwork while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while developing fluidity through transition. Releases from an over top arm slot topping at 76 mph across the infield. From first base funnels the baseball with clean actions from a slightly deeper position. Centers the baseball well and flashed some athletic actions with pivoting to throw. Topped at 73 mph across the infield. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance and high back elbow set. Front side stays slightly open at stride fires quickly. Compact, direct barrel path to baseball that generated a line drive plane through extension. Swung with intent while turning the barrel to contact and produced present bat speed through the zone. Baseball jumps off barrel to the pull side gap when on time. Outstanding student.
