Salvatore Rinaldi is a 2017 SS/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Atlantic Highlands, NJ who attends Christian Brothers Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and nice present strength to frame. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and shows quickness to hands on the transfer, moves well on feet and shows athleticism to actions, shorter arm action through the back with a tighter release on throws across, ball comes out of hand cleanly, accurate throws across the diamond and can make throws from multiple arm slots. Righthanded hitter, begins with an upright stance in the box and a medium hand set in the box. Uses a toe tap trigger at start of swing, shows a direct path to the ball with a short path through it and a high finish. Shows feel for the barrel and can work all fields while creating line drives off the barrel, stays through the ball well, remains upright through swing and strength projects with additional lower half incorporated.
