Matt Nichols is a 2020 OF/ with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Bedford, NY who attends Byram Hills. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; body projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.02 seconds. Sets up to hit with high back elbow and even-based stance, clean hands with good looseness through stroke, shows ability to move barrel around the zone, smoothness to swing mechanics. Torques hips and shifts well, showed ability to work to all fields on a line with developing strength. Worked out in the outfield, clean actions overall with good athleticism, comes in on and plays through the ball well, throws online with arm strength clocked up to 80 mph. Good student.
