Bryson Bloomer is a 2017 3B/2B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Paul Laurence Dunbar. Large frame with a lean, athletic build and present strength. Frame projects for additional size and strength with continued physical development. Ran a 7.06 sixty yard dash. Primary third baseman, smooth footwork while surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball with fluid glove action from a low position. Smooth paced exchanges while working through transfer. Moves well to each side with smooth, athletic actions when moving to glove side. Good arm strength while throwing across the infield topping at 84 mph. Throws produced accurate, on line carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance. Lower half launches to contact with rotational actions creating good torque. Consistent barrel path to contact generating a line drive plane through extension. Showed solid balance throughout with a mid-field approach. Baseball jumps off the barrel well to the gaps with tight backspin and solid carry. Good student. Named to the 2016 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
