Nick Bradvica is a 2009 C/1B with a 6'0'', 185 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA, who attends Carlsbad HS. Bradvica has a solid frame with present strength in his body. Defensively he has quickness behind the plate with the ability to block balls. He has arm strength (77 mph) with accurate and online throws. He has a nice transfer that should help control an opposition's running game. He also receives well. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a crouched stance. He shows bat speed through the hitting zone at times with a line drive swing plane. Bradvica uses a simple approach, and he stays balanced through his swing. He tracks pitches, and keeps his hands back on off-speed pitches. At this point, his defense is his strong point, but he has upside to his overall game. Bradvica is a good student as well.

Nick Bradvica is a 2009 C/OF with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Luquna Beach CA, who attends Laguna Beach. Bradvica has a good athletic build with some present strength. Defensively, Bradvica is a good receiver and has a clean release from behind the plate. He has developing arm strength and has good field awareness. At the plate, Bradvica has a balanced approach and stays balanced through his swing. He has a compact stroke with a line drive swing path. Bradvica stays back well and has present line drive pop. He has made great improvement from last year, should be interesting to see how he develops a year from now. Good student.

Nick Bradvica is a 2009 C/1B from Claremont HS, residing in Claremont, CA, with a 6'0" 175 lb. frame. He has a lean and well framed build that suggests strong physical development as he matures. A right handed hitter, Bradvica has swing that allows him to consistenly use the opposite field. His elbows start in a spread position and he has an aggressive grip with strong hands that are rotated inward. After contact he employs the one hand release that has become vogue as young players watch pros like Alex Rodriguez. Bradvica has the intent of working to get to extension through contact. His swing plane creates some lift and though his grip and elbow position suggest that he is better suited to use the opposite field, he was aggressive to the pull side during the workout. At this time (freshman year) he shows limited power potential in terms of barrel contact and bat speed. Behind the plate Bradvicas showed himself to be an accurate thrower and a good receiver. He ably handled quality D1 type stuff (86-88), a very good sign for such a young backstop. His pop times were consistent and he took his time, making sure to throw accurately. Bradvica will benefit from a quality catching coach to speed up his exchange and footwork. He is a young player to follow based upon his ability to receive quality pitching, something that many older catchers have a tough time doing.

Nick Bradvica is a 6' 175 pound 2009 catcher and first baseman from Claremont, California who has a tall lean projectable and athletic body that has room for added muscle. He ran an 8.38 60 during the workout and a 5.21 down the line in the game. Nick had a pop time of 2.38 and threw 61 mph which should get better as he gets more mature. He has some good quickness in his footwork and he has a smooth delivery with online throws. At the plate, Bradvica starts with a wide base and holds his hands high. He keeps his hands very quiet and has a compact swing. He has the ability to center the ball on the barrell and drive the ball to all fields. Nick has a good upside to his game and should be a good prospect in the years to come.
