Maxwell Jacklin is a 2008 RHP/3B with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Richfield WI, who attends Hartford Union HS. He has a medium frame with some upper body strength. Jacklin has a busy delivery, with a pause at the top to gather himself and some effort at release. He has a high and tight 3/4's release point with some upper body tilt to get his head out of the way of his arm. His arm action is quick and compact and he throws on a downhill plane. When Jacklin misses, he's going to generally miss high because of his delivery and release. Jacklin's fastball was mostly 78-79 mph and touched 83 mph a couple of times. His change up was his best pitch, with good sinking action at 74 mph. Jacklin's curveball was 71 mph with a rolling downer type of break.
